I must say that growing up I was never been a big fan of comic books and the superheros that are portrayed in them. However, thanks to Hollywood releasing movies about these superheros over the past few years, I have began to like them a lot more. In my opinion, one of the coolest superheros would have to be the Punisher. I mean, this guy walks around with a skull on his superhero costume with a sweet gun with a mission to single-handedly take out organized crime. What would be more cool than that?

The second punisher movie, Punisher: War Zone was initially set to be released over a week ago on September 12, 2008. Unfortunately, it was not ready and the release date was later pushed back to December 8, 2008. In this movie, Frank Castle, also known as the Punisher, is out to get Billy Russoti once again. Russoti, now know as Jigsaw, has gathered up quite an elite army and ready to take out the Punisher.

Punisher: War Zone is produced by Lionsgate Entertainment, who announced the sequel to the first Punisher movie in 2004 only two months after the release in theatres of the first Punisher movie. It stars Ray Stevenson as the Punisher, and Dominic West the the villain Jigsaw. The movie is sure to by one that is action packed and exciting. Rumor has it that this movie will be rated R due to violence. It has also been rumored that one should expect to see a lot of blood and gore in this superhero thriller. With only a few months away from the release date, I cannot wait for the release of Punisher: War Zone.
